The Role

Tassat is seeking a Product Manager. This individual needs to be a self-starter with a delivery mindset and a team first attitude. A strong understanding of the relevant business drivers, processes and functions for a given business line, such as Banking, B2B Payments, Treasury Services, Capital Markets, Securities Services or Asset Management is a must. Additionally, this person should be comfortable interacting with a variety of people, including senior business leaders, external service providers, and internal engineering teams to define, develop and deliver solution. Lastly, we hope you will have a passion for blockchain and the desire to improve upon existing infrastructure. This role reports to our CPO.


What You Own

  • Gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements
  • Defining the product vision
  • Working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met
  • Ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals
  • Work with engineering counterparts to define and document product release requirements and assist in defining the testing framework
  • Collaborate with marketing to:
  • Define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and Client
  • Develop sales tools and collateral
  • Serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers
  • Use Scrum and other agile practices and expect product managers to participate in improving our processes and practices
  • Work collaboratively in our team environment, communicating with all areas of the company
  • Assist with the definition the product strategy and roadmap, helping to establish key priorities.
  • Specify market requirements for current and future products based on market intelligence; this information will be gathered from regularly scheduled visits to clients as well as from another client facing personnel
  • Run pilot programs with early-stage products and samples; leverage early-stage feedback as a basis for future enhancements
  • Work with the support and infrastructure teams to solve client issues that occur in production and UAT
  • Be the client facing liaison for the firm
  • Work hand in hand with the development team to resolve issues found during the development process regarding the implementation of the requirements
  • Analyze potential partner relationships for the product; work with closely with partners to assist them with the roll out of new product versions as well as new offerings
  • Possess/acquire a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and how to position the firm's products against its primary competitors
  • Continually evaluate the core positioning and messaging for the product
  • Brief and train the sales team on new and existing product offerings and assist sales team with the high opportunity trials


What You Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or Engineering from an accredited institution. MBA preferred
  • 10-15 years of software product management/development experience
  • Experience working within the blockchain and digital assets ecosystem, ideally within a company that is focused on tokenized assets or enabling applications to be built on top of blockchain platforms.
  • Exposure to a broad range of financial products with an understanding of the structures that enable trading and settlement of equities, commodities, derivatives and other financial instruments in both the traditional and non-traditional financial world
  • Experience operating in highly regulated industries (e.g., Banking, FinTech, Digital Assets and Blockchain)
  • You are execution focused, action-oriented and pay attention to detail
  • You have strong verbal and written presentation skills - converting ideas into well-articulated, visually impactful presentations is your thing!
  • You are able to act independently and take initiative but work equally well within a dynamic and fast paced team environment
  • Ideally you have a solid understanding of distributed ledger technology and related applications, including a technical understanding of cryptocurrency technology
  • Experience with (and understanding of) the B2B/Commercial payments ecosystems as well as research capabilities
  • Knowledge of payments markets and treasury management tools including models, risk analytics, and performance attribution.
  • Solid mathematical aptitude
  • A complete understanding of the SDLC process and how it is applied both for Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Bonus points if you spend time thinking about how to build the new (financial) world!

Tassat offers its employees competitive compensation and benefits packages. The base salary range offered for this role to NYC-based employees is $175,000 – 195,000, commensurate with relevant experience. Salary ranges may vary depending on a candidate’s state of residence.
